Centennial Park on the Fujifilm X-T4 + Fujinon 50mm F/2

This shoot happened one early morning in autumn. It wasn’t very planned, I was just accompanying someone else to a car meet and decided to take my camera with me just in case and I am so glad I did! Some of these shots became my favourites of the year so far, like the one above. The light was just incredible for an hour or so and with it also came some fog which made things so cinematic.

I took all the photos on the Fujifilm X-T4 with the Fujinon 50mm F/2 lens. This proved to be a great combination allowing me to keep my distance and get a little bit of compression of the background. I find the Fujinon 50mm F/2 to be a great lens for all sorts of things outside as you can easily use your feet to create more space between you and the subject if need be. It renders colours beautifully and has a nice softness to it (in a good way) compared to other lenses.

This shoot really taught me a lesson to bring my professional camera out with me whenever I can. It was just so exhilaration getting to the park and not expecting anything exciting to happen only to get out of the car and realise that the fog and mist created a very special vibe. Had I only had my iPhone I would have regretted not being able to capture the depth in the images that I could capture with a good lens.

I love this photo, completely unplanned, the photographers just happened to walk up one after another and I just happened to be ready to go in that moment. Also there way something cool about being a photographer and taking a picture of a group of photographers at work.

This is another favourite from the morning I really enjoyed working with this incredible light atmosphere.

I love the light in this one, again totally unexpected, the guy just walked over and sat down and when I saw the light that he was walking into I knew immediately that this would make a good picture. He just happened to sit in the right light spot.

This was taken when I finished shooting and was heading back to the car. When I saw this potential frame, I couldn’t help but stop and take this picture especially as a reflection was involved and it just felt like they were sitting in an enchanted forest.

Hope you enjoyed this short blog, just thought I would keep sharing my images for those that enjoy seeing them. Let me know what you think and what you would like me to blog about next.
